Plush Tutorials *Look in journal for lots of links

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 25, 2012, 4:43 AM
Okay, so, I've been asked a bunch to post my patterns, help people learn to sew, how to create a pattern, etc. etc.
Well, I'm not really a great teacher, and my patterns arn't really that good. (Plus, I'm kind of a turd and don't like posting patterns. X'D)

BUT! I do know of quite a few patterns and tutorials that may help some people to get on their way to plushy making.
You're kinda going to have to learn how to do the actual sewing part on your own, but it's really as easy as tying a knot in some string, putting it in the needle and putting them in the fabric. XD
Unless you have a machine, then you just need to learn to use that.

Look in the artist's description for links to the patterns!

Well, before we start, I'll just give some little tutorials for hair and clothes:

Hair/Clothes
How to make plushie hair by pheleonTutorial: Plushie Wig by shmalicePlush Hair tutorial by nitanita             Plushie Jeans Tutorial by AshFantasticPlushie Dress Tutorial by quirkandbramblePlushie Tshirt Tutorial by AshFantasticPlushie Pants Tutorial by Meowchee
For some of those anime characters with more confusing clothes, you'll have to figure it out on your own. XD

Okay, now let's start with some really-really simple plush patterns

Chibi Person
CHIBI PLUSH TUTORIAL by LoRi-La-Tortuga
Very-very simple plush. And though it doesn't look it, the outcome can be pretty awesome once you give your plush some hair and clothes.

Squiddle
Squiddle plush tutorial by SmellenJR
Cute little Squiddle things.
For those Homestuck people.
Or if you're like me, they're just cute little octopuses.

The difficulty goes up a bit now~~
Lying Eeveelution
Umbreon Plush Pattern by shazy
You don't even have to make an Umbreon or other type of  Eeveelution for this.
Change the tail/ears and make a cat. Change the head a bit and make a dog.

Raichu
Raichu Sewing Tutorial by Renegar-Kitsune
Lots of people have made this one, and it comes out awesomly adorable.
I myself will have to try this pattern one day~~

Jolteon

Like the Umbreon plush, you can make some simple changes and make it into anything you want.
Also, like the Raichu one, I've seen lots of people make this and they come out pretty amazing.

Chibi Wolpertinger
Chibi Wolpertinger TUTORIAL by MagnaStorm
Lots and lots of little peices for this one, but it comes out really cute.

Standing Pony
Voodoo-Tiki's Pony Plushie Tutorial by Voodoo-Tiki
Very cute outcome. Probably the best pattern you can find for ponies.

Sitting Human
:thumb91598784:
One of the patterns I used to get me more into plush making.
The outcome is very professional, and the best human plush patterns you can probably find.

Toothless
How to Plush your Dragon by Katy-A
Very-very cute outcome, looks like it could be store bought. <3
I will be trying this pattern one day.

Lying Dog
New Wolf Pattern page 2 by VexiWolf
This one I wouldn't recommend doing unless you have a more furry fabric.
Fleece and felt would just show all the little seam lines and such.
BUT, I have seen the pattern used with fleece and it did come out adorable just the same.

Try to keep in mind, you wouldn't steal art, so don't steal patterns. =P Art theft is bad.
Saying a pattern is your own is the same thing as stealing a picture. Plushies are a different form of art, but it's art just the same.
So if you use a pattern, don't claim it as yours, give some credit to the peeps. X3

These are just some basic patterns. As you start using them and getting the hang of how patterns work, and why things have to be cut in certain ways, sewn at certain places, what happens when you sew two shapes together, and such, you can start making your own patterns.

I'm still really just a very basic beginner.
My stuff doesn't involve much dynamic pattern making.
The better ya get though, the more amazing your stuff can be.
It's just like drawing. The more you do it, the better you get.

Pfffff, I'm so tired, and the cheese of my talking in this journal is almost too much.
But like I said, I'm tired. SO BLUE OUT!
